Be Happy with Live Beautifully

Be Happy with Live Beautifully

Here’s the first layout of this wonderful workshop that you can get free when you order $25.00 or more on my website!  A list of the supplies is available on my website here. The pictures don’t really do the layout justice.

I made my pages with gold and silver glitter paper because, initially, I only had the silver glitter paper.  When I got the gold glitter paper in, I decided to add some extra hearts in. In the end, I like having a combo instead.  The CTMH heart dies make it really easy to create different sized hearts with the same shape (hearts can have different shapes). Size and layering are important in having this work well.

The title of the pages comes from the My Girl set of compliments:

This is really a fun set of compliments.  Full of goodness and sayings you can use beyond a girl.  I think this is a great graduation saying.  What kid at high school graduation isn’t happy, to at least be done with school, and has big dreams?  SG is going to be testing for her yellow belt and is super excited.  I can’t wait to capture her face when she passes her test!

Here’s the 2nd page:

More hearts and and titles with fun glitter embellishments.  The black paper with the white rose outline looks really good on the black cardstock.  I like how the papers pop on black.  Don’t forget to use your zip strips!  Little borders can add a lot to the page.

Best Friends Layout

Best Friends Layout:

This is another layout that you can create with the Some Kinda of Wonderful Workshop Your Way kit.  The directions are available for you to download on the website unless you purchase it through my cash and carry at the crops where I’m vending or the my house.  My store is open on Tuesday and Thursdays for cropping and shopping as well as various weekends for CropTastic. Even if you don’t come to crop, you can come to shop and visit with us.

This layout would be good for a sleep over, a spa day with the girls, a girls’ night out, and whatever fun day you might have with your girlfriends or your daughter/niece and their friends.

The title is created using the Compliments over the top of the zip strip with the “Best Friends” stickers and the glitter crosses.

The glasses are super cute with the heart shapes.  They are one of my favorite stickers in the pack.  I have some pictures of two of my friends and I having a spa day a few years ago.  I’m going to pull them out and put them in these pages.  =)

Here is one of the Workshop Your Way layouts you can create.  Directions are available for you to download.   The directions come with a cutting guide as well as assembly directions.  So nice to have these done for you when you are looking for your creative mojo.  The guide will ensure that you use almost all of the paper pack to make 3 three layout and some cards.  No waste.

The black glitter compliments are wonderful.  They really pop out for making the title as well as being embellishments.

One of the great things about getting the Workshop Your Way kits is that all the matching products are included in them.  You can now purchase a matching cardstock pack separately to make even more layouts.  The compliments are great to add little clusters around the layout for added character.

Here you use the Picture My Life cards as part of the embellishment cluster and you could still add some journaling in there if you wanted to.

Don’t forget y0u can use that zip strip from the top of the paper to add to your layout out! Nothing wasted, LOL!  If you are a non-stamper, these layouts are perfect for you.  Stampers, this is another opportunity to use your stamps as embellishments!!

Find out why Our Cut Above kits make YOUR life easier

Cut Above Kits Make YOUR life easier:

There are four reasons that our Cut Above kits  make your life easier:

  1. They save you time.
  2. They save you money (especially this month – they are only $7.50 each!)
  3. There is not cutting.
  4. They work for different occasions.  They may designed for babies or weddings but look at the colors and you know they can work for other occasions as well.
  5. They make handmade look easy.

Well, that was 5.  Check out Jeanette Lyton’s awesome blog post.  Here’s a great YouTube showing just how quick and easy these layouts come together.

Flip Flap Winter Wonderland

Flip Flap Winter Wonderland:

As most of you know, when I create classes for the crops, you can purchase them in levels.  This time, it isn’t so because the My Reflections City Sidewalks Paper Pack sold out completely by the end of December!  Well, I had already created these snow layouts so it was what it is.

Kids and animals love the first snow (unless you are my 14.5 year old dog who has not time for this anymore).  I knew at some point, we’d have a first snow thus I created this layout for that.  It was the first snow ever for our pups, Huck and Finn (8 month old Mini Aussies).  SG and Ryder just love snow for snow.  I love watching them all play.

The directions are adjusted for cutting bigger picture spaces to accommodate having mats under the flip flaps.  You can put them down without this, I just feel it has a more finished look with mats.  This layouts has them double matted and both mats showing.   Both vertical 4×6 pictures can have flip flaps. Even the top 3×4 picture can have them as well.  I just did not have enough pictures for that.

I hope you were able to get Cozy Christmas as it’s retired now.  I love having thin cuts for my stamping. =)  The snowman is super cute.

While this pictures shows you the flip flaps, I want to draw your attention to the stamping.  1st and 2nd generation stamping of the trees, then stamping Winter Wonderland on the top.  Add the tree in Willow using the thin cuts to add more layers and dimensions.   I cut off the bottom on the tree and the top to have it be more like a tree outside than a Christmas tree.  The glitter snowflakes are from the City Sidewalks Compliments if you have them.

Here’s the right page.  I know my top, big picture is blurry – forgot to switch over to action. What I love is SG’s face – the joy of the snow and playing outside.  Blurry or not, it’s captured the moment of joy.  I used the thin cuts to create the trees as accents and the glitter embellishments come from the Compliments again.  I have some of these products left in my inventory should you want them.  =)

Flip Flaps:

This is the same flip flap book shown two different ways.  I’ve put 6 additional pictures in the space where only 1 was planned.  Means 7 pictures in one 4×6″ space!  That just saved me making one more layout (time and money).  Flip Flaps are inexpensive, between $3-$8/pack.

In a one picture slot, I put 4 pictures using the 4×6″ flip flaps.  I put a journaling block under the pictures. It’s one of the PML cards from the City Sidewalk paper pack.  You could also put another 4×6″ picture if you trimmed it down a 1/4″ on each side. =)

The bottom pictures are set up for 3×3 pictures and you can use 3×3″ flip flaps with this on all of them.  Again double matted.  I have added 2 more pictures to one of the 3×3 pictures.

I have opted to put my flip flaps on the page it’s self with the plan to cut the page protector and pull them through.  You do not have to do this.  The flip flaps can be used on top of the page protector.  I do recommend you limit the size of the “book” (using multiple flip flaps together) to 2 or 3 max as the weight will pull on the page protector.

With all the flip flaps, I’ve added a total of 12 extra pictures to the layout.  This would have been two more layouts or not using all the pictures.  Flip flaps just save you time and money.  They are amazing.  They change your whole perspective on how you scrapbook.  I have a $6.00 class where you get $6.00 of product to use in your albums.  Or you can have a layout class like above to learn to use the layout.

Thanks for stopping by my corner of the internet!

Winter Wonderland – Harbor Scrapbooking Jan Layout Class

Winter Wonderland

Nothing fills kids and dogs with more excitement than the first snow of the year.  We groan because that could mean days out of school, shoveling but for kids and dogs, it only means one thing – playing.  I created this layout with these pictures in mind.  I’ll show you on Friday the layout using the full City Side Walk packet (sold out which is why it’s not offered).

You can order this layout to make in class at the Harbor Scrapbooking Weekend Event (there’s room for more to come and scrap with us) for $12.00.  It comes with color directions and cutting guide.  I will make it and ship it for $15.00 (some of the cutting will be done and all the stamping will be done) plus shipping.  I used the Cozy Christmas stamp set with thin cuts (also retired).  Isn’t this snowman so dang cute!

I did some adjustments to the cutting guide to accommodate flip flaps.  You know me, I just love those things and everyone should be scrapping one event between two pages (it will save you time and money) using them.  You’ll be getting some 4×6″ flip flaps and some 3×3″ flip flaps.  If you need more, I’ll have them for sale at my store.  =)

We’ll get Winter no matter what so this is the perfect layout for it.  Please RSVP your layout so we can get them made up for you!  =) You can do this over in my Facebook Group.  This group is for my customers.  If you are a CTMH consultant, please email me directly if you want one.

Thanks for stopping by and have a creative day!

Washi Tape Storage Idea

Washi Tape Storage

I came across this great idea, especially after Christmas and all the gift wrapping for storing washi tape:

Talk about a great idea to reuse an old tape dispenser and have a great place for the washi tape.  Plus with the tape dispenser, you get the tear edge for easy tearing.  I can’t take the credit for this idea.  I picked it up off of one of the FB boards.  Another idea I’ll share quickly is this: Save all those Aluminum Foil and Saran Wrap boxes.  The washi tape fits right in and you have the metal tear strip for easy tearing.  Another great way to reuse or repurpose trash.  This also packs well for crops.  Hope you can make use of these great ideas.

Oh Deer WYW

Oh Deer Workshop Your Way

When you purchase the Oh Deer Workshop Your Way (WYW), you will get printed directions from me to create this three beautiful layouts!

I love this layout because it shows how you can use the paper to celebrate a birthday.  This paper captures the elegance of an important event.  It pulls out the color of her dress. The outdoor background fits this paper perfectly.

Here’s another layout showing family, again, not Holiday and Christmas.  The joy and pleasure of this family shows through these pictures. Pulling in the red helps to brighten up the pages.  It’s great that the Workshop Your Way contains the Oh Deer Compliments which provides the great title ” Simple Pleasure”, the pennants, and other embellishments.  The white and gold twine is also included.

This layout shows the joy of the season – family.  This paper is just to perfect for all of the outdoor times you have from getting that Christmas tree, walks in the forest or park, sledding, and more. A lot of these events will happen in January, February, and maybe March.  The sad news is Oh Deer retires on December 31, 2016!  Don’t miss out on getting this incredible collection before it’s gone.

Thanks for stopping by and have a creative day!

Magical Mini-Album

CTMH offers a few mini-albums and here is a “Magical Book”, using one of the minis and the Magical paper pack.

IMG_3117 wm

Its made using the  My Createsion Black mini-album which makes for a great memory book for a gift, desk display, or to carry in your purse.  There are watercolor Picture My Life cards, Cranberry Fundamentals, and Red shimmer tape! (Side note – we have several great options and tools for watercolor.) This will be SG’s summer album to share her adventures with her friends when she returns to school because it’s so easy for her to do!

IMG_3121 wm

When you open the album up, there are pockets on the inside covers for her to put memorabilia in.  Never leave unused real estate in a project.

IMG_3123 wm

This project is also great for left over scraps of your paper pack.  You’ll see how you can use 3″x4″ inch squares as mats for pictures, to decorate, or for journal block mats.

IMG_3122 wm

Did you know most of the paper packs come with a Picture My Life (PML) sheet?  Cut it up into the 4″x6″ and 3″x4″ blocks and it works fantastically with this project.

IMG_3120 wm

Super cute, right?  Fun and easy.   One PML card is the cute camera on the left and a journal block on the right side.

IMG_3118 wm

I wanted to draw your attention to the front of the album which features one of the Picture My Life Gold Watercolor cards, water colored with our watercolor paints, the Fundamental Cranberry , and Red Shimmer Trim.  Several items used in this project are scheduled to retire on July 31, a few days from now.  Be sure to check out the “Going Soon” List out.

These mini albums make great gifts, super purse mementos, and great projects for kids to do.  Thanks to April Smith for the inspiration for this!  =)

Big Smiles

Big Smiles is the first layout from the Magical Workshop.  I can’t wait to print my pictures from our vacation for these layouts.  There are certainly a lot of big smiles!

IMG_2806 wm

I enjoy that there is no stamping as I have several customers who prefer to not stamp.  I just realized that I have the right page turn wrong!  Too funny.  Anyway, using the Magical Compliments, you can create the title and clusters.

IMG_2808 wm

This is the correct orientation of the right page:

Here’s my Pinterest layout for the layout:

Magical WYW LO 1 WM Collage

Aren’t the cluster of compliments great.  You can use one like the arrow above.  Or add three or more like was done with the heart, star, and speech bubble and get something cute!  Supplies used are below.

Thanks for stopping by and I hope you leave with some smiles!
