Amazing August Things To Remember!

Thanks for stopping by my corner of the internet.  Thank you all for being sweet friends of the crafty world.  Have a creative day!

Thanks A Bunch

Thanks A Bunch

Here is the same card, in two different versions by changing the color of ink that is used to distress the sentiment.  Placement of the bow in a different place, different doodling, and changing out the gem colors and you go from masculine to feminine.

Add coloring to the background, either all of it or just parts of it, and you change up the design again.  We’ll have a few of these on the card buffet for you to personalize to meet your needs.  Coloring is the rage and this card (and the stamp set) allows you to participate in this fun.

Here’s some close ups:

Free Kit of the Month

Free Kit of the Month

The free kit of the month is 5 cards featuring the Stamp of the Month (SOM).   S1808 For The Love Of Crafting is here to celebrate your love for crafting!!  Look at these wonderful sentiments and images:

Here’s two crafty samples from CTMH.  The card, with it’s layers, is wonderfully put together.

The scrapbooking page is randomly stamped to create a background.  It’s my favorite.

Get your free kit when you order the Stamp of the Month for $5.00.  They are cut and ready for you to assemble.  Thanks for stopping by and have a creative day!

Scrappy First Home

Scrappy First Home

This card is Created from Central Park scraps, thus the name Scrappy first home. The background for the card is knotted on black I’m sorry Pacifica paper. The sentiment is stamps from the July stamp of the month s1807 Highlight Reel.

My friend Jon picked out the house and tree and I fussy cut them from a background and texture paper that had a variety of different houses on it.  I use 3D foam tape both the regular and thin to create dimension so that the tree look like it was behind the house a little bit.

With some leftover Gold Shimmer trim, Central Park sequins,  gold glitter gems, and gray twine, I was able to embellish the card.  The pile of left over embellishments is just as big as the scrap box!  LOL.  Twine is held down with the mini-stapler!  This is such a quick and efficient way to adhere the twine to the card.

July things to keep in mind:

Thanks for stopping by my corner of the internet.  This scrappy First Home card helped to use some of my scraps up.  =)

Happy Day

Happy Day

It’s a happy day when I get to use my scraps.   At the end of a pack, I always have some scraps, don’t you?  Here’s a card using those scraps up. I used scraps from the Central Park paper along with some scraps for my scrap bucket to make this card.

There’s a sheet in each paper pack that has these great cards on it formats, titles, and journaling. With one of them I created this “Happy Day” card. It has a fun watercolor balloon on it and says happy day. Using some scrap background and texture paper to help create the base, some scraps of cranberry and gold glitter paper, this came together fairly quickly.

Embellish with some leftover Central Park sequins and put gold glitter gems in the middle of the sequins. The background paper is Linen, which is a gray color. The gray twine helps pull that in. The gold shimmer brush adds some flare to the balloon.

Thanks for stopping by my corner of the internet.  Enjoy the Happy Day card and try to use those scraps up!

First Home

First Home

Here’s a card to help someone celebrate their first home.  Such a big step in life and accomplishment!  S1807 Highlight Reel is a great set for celebrating these first time accomplishments.

Use Fresh Air Paper on this card with some of the neutral colored cardstock, Toffee (front and back) along with Glacier.  Color in the windows and door of the house with the Shin Touch Markers.

Stamp the heart in cranberry which really makes it pop on this card.   The white ribbon and some shimmer brushes to add the finishing touches.

Remember my Kit of the Month, which features the current Stamp of the Month and is FREE when you order the SOM for $5.00 (with a qualifying purchase of $50.00).

Cheers To You

Cheers To You

This is a fast and fun cardmaking workshop – Cheers To You – using the Central Park colors along with this fun hot air balloon! Instructions for cutting and assembling are in the kits now.  The embellishments are there too.

These cards have celebration sentiments on this – “Best Wishes” and “Cheers To You”.

I like the watercolor look of this “dots” paper.  How it overlaps and “mushes” into each other.

July things to keep in mind:

Thanks for stopping by my corner of the internet.  Cheers to you as you head off  to have a creative day!

Day To Remember

Day to Remember

Here’s  card showing off the July SOM S1807 Highlight Reel and Fresh Air.  A great card to send off to celebrate someone’s first job.

Stamping is simple on this – use your favorite black ink pad.  I love using either Archival Black or Memento depending on what I’m going to do.  If I plan to watercolor or marker color, I use Memento.  It is less likely to bleed than Archival Black.  =)  With the solid sentiment, “day to remember”, I inked by turning the stamp upside down and using the inkpad to ink it (vs stamping the stamp on the inkpad).  I can make sure that the ink fully covers the stamp this way.

Finish off the card with a few Gold Sequins.  Be sure to use thin 3D Foam Tape to pop up the banner for a little extra dimension.

July things to keep in mind:

Thanks for stopping by my corner of the internet.  Someone’s first job is definitely a day to remember!  Have a creative day!

Do You Know The Colors Of The Rainbow?

Rainbow Love

Rainbow Love

This sunburst card was inspired by our sale “Create a Rainbow”.  Did you see the price of a pack of rainbow cardstock?  Anyway, I can never have enough paper (well, my darling husband would disagree with me) and picking up a couple of packs lets me create some beautiful projects!  Grab your own pack and create this card!

Cut the strips 1″ by 5″ and 1″ x 7″.   Then you’ll cut those diagonally so you have several triangles.  The base for the sunburst is 5″x 3 3/4″.  The black base is 5 1/4″ by 4″.  Lay out the rainbow and glue down.  Trim off the around the edges and mat on the black.

Stamp the girl from the June Stamp of the Month, A Bushel and A Peck S1806.   Color in with Shin Touch markers.

She’s darling.  While SG would never wear a dress, she reminds me of her with the crazy hair and sweet smile.  =)  After you color, fussy cut out leaving a 1/4″ border of white.  Mount on black and fussy cut out leaving black border.  Mount in the upper right corner of the card using 3D foam tape.

Stamp the sentiment “I love you a bushel and a peck” on white cardstock and mount on black.  Adhere to the card base.

Add embellishments as you see fit.  I found some red enamel hearts and left over Florence Sequins to use.   Love to see your rainbow cards!  To encourage rainbow projects, here’s a great workshop you can get free when you purchase $25.00 of product from my website:
