Mr and Mrs

Mr and Mrs:

I got asked to make a wedding card for some friends and the above card is the result.  I love the heart die which I got from Stampin’ Up.  Have been making a lot of them.  Anyway, they wanted something that was elegant, yet splashy to reflect the bride.

I used the silver shimmer tape to create the outline of silver under the main panel rather than a full panel of silver glitter paper.  I used 3D Foam Tape to raise the panel.  I used the silver embossing powder to heat emboss “Congratulations”.

I used one of the new Adventure colors – Raspberry for the heart.

Mr. and Mrs. is done in Black Memento ink and is a retired CTMH stamp set.  It’s a very simple card yet the heart die makes it pretty splashy as requested.   Thanks for stopping by corner and have a creative day!

You’re The Sweetest

You’re The Sweetest

I got this super cute card in my Seasonal Expression 1 swap.  Name was left off so I can’t give credit.  I just love it.  This doughnut stamp and die set plus the Sugar Rush can create so many amazing combinations.

I just love the colors in the paper.  The “sprinkle” paper from the Paper Pack was used to cut out the frosting and sprinkles for the doughnut. That sure saves time and makes the doughnut look great.  The rest of the paper patterns make great pennants.

Lately, I’ve been into white space on the cards and this is a good example of how you can take the white space and make it look fantastic.  Stamp the sentiment just above the pennants.  Use 3D Foam Tape (supplies below) used to give dimension.  Then add the wonderful new Sugar Rush Glitter dots to embellish and this equals sweet!

Thanks for stopping by my corner of the internet.  Have a sweetest day by spending time crafting!

Sugar Rush Sweet Layout

Sugar Rush Sweet Layout:

Here we have another layout from the Sugar Rush Workshop Your Way (WYW).  You can download the directions for this layout and two others from my website.  If you purchase them from one of the crops I vend at or my CropTastic events at my house, the instructions will be in the WYW for you.

All the elements in the  “Sweet” title are in the Sugar Rush Compliment Pack (link at the end of the post).  Isn’t the ice cream paper just the cutest?  Calls for a trip to Cold Stone Ice Cream for some pictures!

I love that you can cluster together different compliment pieces to create a fun title.  I’m going to go back and add some Liquid Glass over the title “Sweet” and the chocolate sprinkles on the ice cream for some more bling.

Whisper seems to be such an odd color to use with these bright color yet it goes so well.

The second page of this layout uses the Picture My Life page for embellishments and the zip strip off of one of the sheets.  Always hang on to zip strips because they made great titles or accents when you need them.

Welcome Home Wreath:

When you pick up your Sugar Rush WYW, don’t forget the Welcome Home Wreath.  It’s super cute, fun, a fantastic piece of home decor for your house or a gift, and it can be FREE with a $60.00 order!

Isn’t this beautiful.  It’s not hard to make and everyone has loved it! It’s a sweet present.

Thanks for stopping by and have a creative day,

Beautiful Card

I designed this card for a friend for a swap we did.  You’ll see more cards over the next few months from this swap.  This card features the Sugar Rush papers and collection along with the stamp set B1548 Journaling Prompts.

The donut and sentiment “this moment” comes from the Sugar Rush Cardmaking Stamp Set.  This set had the thin cut dies which makes using it “easy peasy lemon squeezy”!

Super cute, right?!

The technique in the card is stamping the image with two ink colors.  Start with your lighter color (Tangerine in this case) and add your darker color (Raspberry) on the bottom of the stamped image.

The polka dot ribbon is from the Enchantment Ribbon collection.  I liked how it looks a little like the sprinkles and picks up the red of the stamping.

Have a beautiful day!  Thanks for stopping by and have a creative day,

Do you have some Weddings?

Do you have some weddings?

It seems a little soon to think about weddings in January.  However, in March wedding season starts and is in full swing by the end of April.  Here’s a great card in our Come and Play Card Buffet to help you get a jump on having some special homemade cards.  I just love this Sea Glass paper!  It goes so wonderfully well with the Basic Fundamental papers.

Here you can see that I distressed the sentiment panel with Sea Glass ink.  It’s then popped up with 3D Foam Tape for dimension.  What did we do before we had foam tape?  I love the gold and white ribbon as it adds a bit of sparkle to the card.

Everything is stamped with the Memento Black Ink because I colored the flowers in with our awesome watercolor pencils.  Using the water filled brushes, you create the watercolored look.  Then add some of our new gold shimmer brush over the top of the flower.  A few of the new gold glitter bling finishes the card off.

Have you tried our awesome Shimmer Brushes?  Do you like Wink of Stella?  If you do, you need to try ours.  The price point is better and you get more juice!  Check out this great video on using them:

You’ll have a wedding some time so come make this card in the Come and Play Card Buffet.  Thanks for stopping by and have a creative day.

Sprinkled with Love Sugar Rush Layout

Sprinkled with Love Sugar Rush Layout

With the Sugar Rush Workshop Your Way, this is one of the layouts you have instructions to create.   No stamping required which I  know many of you love.  I’ll have this at the Harbor Scrapbooking Crop this weekend (we still have a few spots left so come join us – no snow predicted – LOL).

Now this is the “donut” paper but you couldn’t tell with these pages!  I’ve used the Compliments, the Picture My Life (PML) sheet, and the Sugar Rush gems.

The title is from the Compliments.  How easy is that?  You can use it for different occasions, just not a romantic night out.  Don’t you just love the “sprinkle paper there?

Add some Pomegranate ink to distress the edges of the papers.  The Whisper or Slate inks would work well too.

Here’s the cute PML card from the 12×12 page in the kit that has several of them.  Super cute, right?  Great journal spot.  Just love it.

Get some Sugar Rush today.  Thanks for stopping by and have a creative day!

Way To Go

Way To Go:

I’m loving the way the Adventure colors just pop out at you when they are used on the black cardstock!  I just ordered some more black cardstock in to create some layouts I like it so much.

These hearts are made from the heart thin cuts Z3260. When you use them, you’ll get the heart and an outline of a heart which is what I used on this card – two outlines.  You can use the hearts on another project.  The three different sizes allow you to use scraps.  Another great way to reduce the scrap-bucket.  =)  There are three different sized hearts.

Here’s a great video about how to use these stand alone thin cuts:

I also love this new embossing folder with the words on Z3249 Happy Thoughts.  They are great for this card.  You can create a fun backgrounds with this folder.  It’s can be the background of a card, photo mat, or even a panel on a scrapbook page.

Most of the pieces of this card can come from your scrap-bucket as well.  Love the layered pennants.  This is a great card for your husband, friend, child, pastor.  Whenever you want to celebrate someone’s accomplishments or even someone making it through a tough time in life.  D1700 Way To Go is a great stamp set to add to your collection.

Don’t forget about our awesome Welcome Home Wreath kit that’s $18.95 or FREE with a $60.00 order!

Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!

Happy Birthday To You

Happy Birthday to You!

Everyone needs a birthday card or 10 throughout the year.  Using the Adventure Fundamental pack, here’s another fun,  bright card.

It’s another great layer card that can be made from any paper pack and scraps left over from making pages.  It really helps to use those scraps up so you don’t have boxes around of just scraps.  It’s colored with our Touch Alcohol Markers .

The Silver Shimmer Tape (which has adhesive on the back) finishes this card off.  Always got to have the glitter!  It is a birthday celebration after all!
