Magical Accordion Card and Last Chance

Here’s a fun accordion card with Magical:

IMG_4753 wm

I made this card with left over parts of the Magical WYW:

IMG_4756 wm

Cut the zip strip from one of the papers off to add to the side of the card on the far right.  Used the embellishments to add the cameras, arrow, and pennants!

IMG_4757 wm

Stamp set is C1644 Beyond Awesome.  Love this set and the sentiments are good for so many other things.

IMG_4763 wm

I made another version using the April Stamp of the Month (retired) because the cameras were so great.  This one will be on the Card Buffet:

Magical Mini-Album

CTMH offers a few mini-albums and here is a “Magical Book”, using one of the minis and the Magical paper pack.

IMG_3117 wm

Its made using the  My Createsion Black mini-album which makes for a great memory book for a gift, desk display, or to carry in your purse.  There are watercolor Picture My Life cards, Cranberry Fundamentals, and Red shimmer tape! (Side note – we have several great options and tools for watercolor.) This will be SG’s summer album to share her adventures with her friends when she returns to school because it’s so easy for her to do!

IMG_3121 wm

When you open the album up, there are pockets on the inside covers for her to put memorabilia in.  Never leave unused real estate in a project.

IMG_3123 wm

This project is also great for left over scraps of your paper pack.  You’ll see how you can use 3″x4″ inch squares as mats for pictures, to decorate, or for journal block mats.

IMG_3122 wm

Did you know most of the paper packs come with a Picture My Life (PML) sheet?  Cut it up into the 4″x6″ and 3″x4″ blocks and it works fantastically with this project.

IMG_3120 wm

Super cute, right?  Fun and easy.   One PML card is the cute camera on the left and a journal block on the right side.

IMG_3118 wm

I wanted to draw your attention to the front of the album which features one of the Picture My Life Gold Watercolor cards, water colored with our watercolor paints, the Fundamental Cranberry , and Red Shimmer Trim.  Several items used in this project are scheduled to retire on July 31, a few days from now.  Be sure to check out the “Going Soon” List out.

These mini albums make great gifts, super purse mementos, and great projects for kids to do.  Thanks to April Smith for the inspiration for this!  =)

Today You are Awesome!

Everyone needs to know they are awesome.  I was inspired to create this card from the stamp set, S1607 From the Notebook (supplies at end of post) because it’s got a file folder tab to cut from the Cricut Artisty.

IMG_3320 wm

The file folder is the card and when you untie the twine (which is on sale btw for $2.70), you are opening up the card.  I stamped images from “From the Notebook” on the top of the file tab in colors from the Magical papers.

IMG_3321 wm

I cut the “file” out of the Magical papers, rounded the corners, and adhered the file tab to the top.  I like the two-sided background and papers because the different pattern shows up on the inside.

IMG_3325 wm

I cut another piece of white cardstock to be in the inside of the file so I could stamp the messages in it.

IMG_3322 wm

I used a combination of the stamps from both sets for the message inside.  A different look for a card to have it be a file that you can open.   “From the Notebook” is available through July 31!  Both of these sets are awesome!

Thanks for stopping by!

What CTMH has been for me,  so many things.  As we’ve moved around for my husband’s career, I’ve changed jobs, homes, friends, become a mom, the one constant for the past 16 years has been CTMH.   CTMH has helped me to create a community in each of the duty stations. I’ve developed friendships which have spanned distance and time.  I am inspired daily, by other amazing consultants and their creativity both in the World Wide Stampettes (WWStampettes) and CTMH as a whole.  The group of ladies who are in my team are simply amazing.  To say CTMH has been a blessing does not even give it justice.

2016_07_21 Collage

The relationships is followed by the excitement of new products every 4 months!  The new Annual Inspiration brings new papers, a new Cricut collections (Flower Market and so MUCH fun!!), and new embellishments/albums/flip flaps…oh my goodness, the wonderful new products to do not end.  This releases August 1 to our customers but now to consultants!!  This is followed by our Holiday Expressions which is released September 1. It has 4 more new paper packs, another Cricut collection, new embellishments and more.  Consultants get to purchase them in August.  It’s simply Christmas in July/August!  Come January and May, we have 2 more Seasonal Expressions.  It’s wonderful.  I love that CTMH strives to bring us wonderful products for our paper crafting and memory keeping!

If you are interested in the benefits of being a consultant on my team, I’d love to chat with you about my amazing journey with CTMH.  Please feel free to email me (info@lindacreates.com) or through the contact form.

Creating Session!!

I’m working on getting some new samples done for the upcoming Open House in August so I had a creative session to get something done!   Bless the sketches and challenges. I’m so appreciative and glad of those who create these challenges for us.

The first challenge is from Mojo Monday 457. I used a pumpkin instead of a square for the sketch.

Here are some sneak peaks to new products.  I’m enjoying working with them. The next one is for the Atlantic Hearts Sketches Challenges 169:

For the Muse, I created this card from it:

Let’s Ride

The second Workshop Your Way (WYW) layout is “Let’s Ride”

IMG_2816 wm

It’s a simple layout where you can put plenty of pictures, especially when I add the flip flaps.  I have some pictures of SG and her Dad headed out on a bike ride that I plan to use on this one.

IMG_2818 wm

“Let’s ride” is from the Compliments.  I have to say, if you are not in the mood to stamp, the Compliments make your life 100% easier.  Add your title and a few other things from the packet and it times it all together.

IMG_2819 wm

On the right side, the journal block comes from the Picture My Life page.  Just cut it up and you have mats for pictures, journal blocks, and embellishments!  So easy.

IMG_2821 wm

Love this little banner!  The sequins and white twine are all a part of the WYW.  The Magical Sequins are great because the colors are primary and have some many different uses.  Remember, you can download the layouts and cutting instructions HERE.   While I like to be creative, sometimes I really like the ease and simplicity of the WYW.

Thanks for stopping by!

It’s a Party!

It’s a Party and this card says it all!.  It’s a pocket card with a pull out.  I love interactive cards and you can make this with the Cricut.IMG_3080 wm

Features the Magical Paper packs and and “Carnival Time” C1648.  It’s a combination of the cut font and the stamping.

IMG_3083 wm

What fun to pull out the card to get the invite information.  I think it’s a fun way to do the invites.   You could use this design for a movie night with the girls, an ice cream making party, or more.  It doesn’t just have to just be kid’s birthday party.

IMG_3084 wmI thank my friend DeAnn Buser for the inspiration for this card!  It’s just awesome to have her part of my swapping team!

Thanks for stopping by!

Note to self – Join the fun!

I created this card to remind us not to forget to join the fun!  This is a combination of the July Stamp of the Month, S1607 From the Notebook and C1648 Carnival Fun.I’m entering this card into the Heart 2 Heart challenge!

IMG_3315 wmSometimes we ladies get too focused on our “to-do” lists and the stress of juggling too many hats and a too full calendar.  This card is just a reminder to add “join the fun” to our never ending lists because life goes by too quickly to miss it.

Speaking of the fun, this card looks like a lot of work but it’s not, which makes it nice.  “From the Notebook” images are cut out with the Cricut Cartridge Artistry Collection and “Carnival Fun” has a matching thin cut!   “Easy peasy lemon squeezy” as my daughter likes to say.

IMG_3316 wm

I used a mix of thin 3D foam tape and regular 3D foam tape to create different layers in the card.  This allowed me to overlap the images and create the clustering.

IMG_3317 wm

I used my Ranger Liquid Pearls to add color and dimension to the popcorn and mustard on the corn dog here.  I also used them to put the chocolate on the ice cream.

IMG_3319 wm

I added some of the yellow to the popcorn to make it look like it was buttered.  This would be a great card for the foodie who loves the movie or carnival foods!

Thanks for stopping by and have a creative day,

Let’s Have some fun

Let’s have some fun with Carnival Fun, a stamp and thincut combo!  I love anything I don’t have to fussy cut.

IMG_2981 wm

Using the Magical Paper Pack (all supplies below), C1648 Carnival Fun and the matching thincut dies, Z3229, you can create this fun card.  I prefer to stamp my image first and then use the thincuts.  I purchased a magnetic platform for my Cuttlebug from Simon Says Stamps which holds the thincut in place when cutting.  I find this much easier than trying to stamp on the cut out image.

IMG_2984 wm

Use the different colored inks to do your stamping.  I love how clean the edges are from the thincuts.  Never in a million years, would my fussy cutting look this good.  The film strip is created by cutting a strip of the black background and texture paper (B&T) and then cutting out squares of the blue B&T.  Add a little dimension by using the thin 3D foam tape under the squares and stamped images.

IMG_2982 wm

Stamp “party” and “join in the fun” in Cranberry ink.  Distress the edges of the card and the yellow B&T.  Use a few sequins from the Magical collection to finish the card off.  Super fun and super easy.

IMG_2983 wm

Huge thanks to DeAnn B, one of my swappers, for the inspiration of this card!  Thanks for stopping by and have a fun day!
